Chair of IVSA Alumni WG
“Life is short, smile while you still have teeth”
It’s the 8th of November, 10:00 in the morning. Someone jumps into my bed and starts to meow. Don’t worry though! It’s just my cat. I would probably sleep a few hours more, but he disagrees. I wake up, say good morning to my family, get some breakfast, go back to my room, and I switch on my computer.
I received an email from Ondrej two days ago. He reminds me that my article for the VetStage blog will be posted next week. I still remember when Malcom sent to me a list stating when my article would be posted. That was two months ago and back then November seemed so far away. But now, it’s not anymore.
I have got news for you. I’ve got some good news and some bad news. “The bad news is that time flies. The good news is that you’re the pilot”. The Alumni Working Group has already lived for a month. I couldn’t be happier to be surrounded by such a group of talented people. We had our first meeting a month ago and since then, we have been working on several projects. I hope we will soon have an official logo, have defined the basic alumni structure, and be ready to advertise our survey for creating an alumni network that can connect alumni members and students from all over the world. Because “Time flies, but not memories”.
At the Symposium in Taiwan, we will present our proposal to the General Assembly, we will discuss on it, and hopefully we can meet with some IVSA alumni at the IVSA congress in Austria.
Are you ready?
Don’t forget to add us on Facebook group: IVSA Alumni Network. Ahhh! And in case you were wondering how our Post-Treasurer/Chair of Alumni WG is doing, I’m doing well! I started an externship last week and I’ve been very busy. Being Chair of Alumni and Post-Treasurer is challenging, but you learn a lot! And knowing that in less than three months, I will meet some of you in Taiwan, makes me smile a little more every day!
See you soon!
